Business consulting that actually changes the numbers

We work with owner-managed companies across Wales and the wider UK. No slide decks that gather dust. We sit with your team, find the friction, and fix it within weeks.

Four weeks from diagnosis to action

Most consulting engagements drag on for months before anything changes. Ours don't. Here is the sequence we follow with every new client.

1

The diagnostic call

A 45-minute conversation where we ask direct questions about revenue, margins, team structure and the specific problem keeping you up at night. Free, no obligation, no pitch at the end.

2

On-site deep dive

We spend two days in your business. We interview key staff, review your P&L line by line, and map the workflow that creates the most drag. By day two we have a written list of the five highest-impact fixes.

3

Implementation sprint

Over the next two weeks we work alongside your team to implement those five fixes. That might mean renegotiating a supplier contract, restructuring a sales process, or eliminating a reporting loop that wastes 12 hours a week.

4

Measurement and handover

We set up a simple dashboard so you can track the changes yourself. Then we step back. If you want ongoing monthly advisory, that is available, but it is never assumed.

Consulting services for growing companies

Revenue and margin analysis

We pull apart your income streams to find which products, services or client segments actually make money after all costs are counted. Many owners discover that 30% of their revenue generates 80% of their profit, and the rest is dead weight.

Operational efficiency

Slow approvals, duplicated data entry, meetings that should be emails. We map your internal workflows and cut the steps that add cost without adding value. Typical time savings: 10 to 15 hours per week across a team of eight.

Strategic planning

Annual plans that sit in a drawer help nobody. We build 90-day action plans with clear owners, deadlines and KPIs. Each quarter we review progress and adjust. The plan stays alive because it fits on one page, not forty.

Financial modelling

Before you hire, invest or expand, we build a model that shows what happens to cash flow over 6, 12 and 24 months under different scenarios. You make the decision with real numbers, not gut feeling.

Succession and exit planning

Thinking about selling, merging or handing the business to a family member? We help you increase the sale value by cleaning up financials, documenting processes and reducing owner-dependency. This work ideally starts 18 to 24 months before exit.

What changed for our clients

We don't publish vague praise. Here are four specific outcomes from the past two years.

+41%
Gross margin increase

A 22-person manufacturing firm in Swansea was quoting jobs using a spreadsheet from 2016. We rebuilt their quoting model and retrained the sales team. Margin rose from 28% to 39.5% within five months.

£180k
Annual cost removed

An IT services company in Cardiff had three overlapping software subscriptions and two roles that duplicated each other's output. We consolidated tools and restructured the team. No redundancies; both staff moved into revenue-generating positions.

14 wks
Time to first profit

A hospitality group opening a second location asked us to project-manage the launch. We compressed the fit-out schedule, negotiated supplier terms and ran pre-opening marketing. The site hit profit in week fourteen, against an industry average of six months.

2.3x
Sale price multiple

A family-owned logistics firm wanted to sell within two years. We documented every process, reduced owner involvement from 55 hours to 12 hours a week, and cleaned three years of accounts. The eventual sale price was 2.3 times the initial broker valuation.

Before you pick up the phone

The diagnostic call is free. The on-site deep dive and four-week implementation sprint is a fixed fee that we quote after the call, based on company size and complexity. For most SMEs with 5 to 50 staff, expect £4,000 to £12,000 for the full sprint. Monthly advisory retainers start at £1,200.

No. About 60% of our clients are in Wales, but we regularly work with businesses in Bristol, Birmingham, Manchester and London. The on-site days require travel, which we include in the project fee with no hidden expenses.

Owner-managed businesses with annual turnover between £500k and £20m. Below that threshold, the cost of our engagement may not make financial sense. Above it, you likely need a larger firm with sector-specific teams.

We are not accountants. We read and interpret the numbers your accountant produces, then turn them into operational decisions. Good accountants love working with us because we give their reports an audience that actually acts on them.

Yes. That is exactly how it works. The call costs nothing and commits you to nothing. About one in three diagnostic calls does not lead to a project, usually because the issue turns out to be something the owner can fix alone with a nudge in the right direction.
